I mounted these in the sail panels of my front doors. They add crispness to the highs and broaden the sound stage.

I added this pair of tweeters to my car stereo rear speaker system which is driven by multi-channel amplifiers. I had original pair which came with 6.5" midrange, but I by mistake broke one of them when I was removing from my former car. So, I purchased this pair, and found this sounds even better. In addition, the swivel feature is very convenient.

Very surprised by the sound of these speakers! I was concerned what I'd get for the low cost but figured it was worth what I paid to try them. Glad I did. Will be putting a set in my wife's car soon. Gave 4 stars only because the wire connection came loose(probably my fault).

I needed to augment the high frequencies on my 2011 Dodge Durango with Alpine upgrade sound system. The sound was originally a little dull and muted but overall very smooth and pleasing. These tweeters (using the included high quality 12db crossovers) without making any other changes to the stock system, really opened op the high end without making it too bright or harsh sounding. It also made it sound better overall, even the bass seems to have have been improved! I used a spectrum analyzer to measure the changes and it was somewhat disappointing to see a bump in response at 8khz and a rolloff at 16khz. The stock Alpine tweeters didn't have the 8khz hump but rolled off twice as much at 16khz. I was hoping for flatter response in the upper treble but I'm happy with the results. These tweeters actually were almost half the price they are now when I got them so the rating is based on that price. I'd remove a star for value if I purchased them today!

Nicely built and good options for mounting. Pretty low profile and compact too.
I didn't like the orange emblem, but a careful prying around its edges and the glue gave way. Now it's a nice inconspicuous tweeter :-)
Sound-wise, I wanted something to bring part of the midrange to my front stage and the specs said these go to 1.3 kHz.
That's true if you leave out the crossovers. In fact, I ran them on a home stereo amp to test them and found they are usable to about 600 Hz. 1.3 kHz is probably a good estimate of their lower 3dB freq. but they sounded like they were maybe 10 dB down at around 600 Hz. Without the crossover, they actually carry the vocals quite well. Listened to several tracks and the music was nice - so they can be more than a tweeter (but of course the lower midrange and bass is absent - so don't expect a full/rich sound from these alone. Of course you should avoid sending too much power to them as they can be broken if you are not careful.
Got them installed in the vehicle and they are working great. Sound is now 200% improved over what it was before. They are running on a cheap 40 watt per channel head unit in a car with front and back speakers for both left and right But before, the front speakers were confined to kick-panels and sound was blocked by feet. Treble was especially blocked, making the sound "presence" terrible. Now, with these carrying he midrange and treble emitted from a better location, the sound envelopes you as it should.
Technical details. I changed the crossover. Mounted the new speakers in series with the kick-panel speakers and used the inductor from the supplied crossovers in shunt with these speakers. That way the bass gets to the kick panel woofers and the mid/treble is emitted from both the kick-panel and these guys. Since these are more "sensitive", I subdued them by shunting them and the inductor with a couple decent wattage 2.7 Ohm resistors on each. Now the sound level from these better matches the kick-panel and the sound comes from multi-locations and sounds great.
Overall, I am very pleased with these and recommend them if you want something to bring some upper midrange to your sound stage as well as the highs...Rate this Product - Reminds me of Super Tweeter!

This is an excellent set of tweeters. I ordered these for my restoration project since I am updating the stock audio system. I like the different mounting options, but best of all, they can handle a good sound system since they are 4ohms and 100 watts. I'm pleased with them and recommend them.
