My old Sony 12" active sub finally died after 8 years, so I began my usual internet scour. I decided to get a 15" sub this time, but all I could find were cheap, no-name knock-offs and of course, the high-end, high priced picks of the litter. I feel the need to put my two cents in here.... The Sony's amp was isolated from the enclosure by being mounted outside, protected from the repeated impacts of a bass driver's sound waves. I've read countless opinions about the reasons why the on board amps die so soon, and I also read a review about this Cadence sub. It complained about a solid MDF baffle inside the enclosure at the rear, in front of the amp that resulted a slightly higher frequency response than was expected by the "experts". Then, in that same blog, Cadence replied: The baffle was there to protect the amplifier. I believe that's why the Sony lasted for eight years.
I decided after reading more responses about the quality of this sub's build, and the quality parts used in it's design, to take the chance and damn the only "expert" review I'd found online. Which was later up-graded to outline the same high quality points I've just mentioned. I found it here on Amazon first, but didn't have enough credit on my card, so I purchased it elsewhere and i just got it two days ago. It's not even broke in yet. But, I have to say: It rocks! It's beautiful and has much more power than I'll ever need! I have all my speakers set at 200hz and the sub is set for bypass for full range. The volume is at 1/4! Totally awesome in my music and my movies. And I think the engineering is perfect, because the slightly higher frequency response, allows me to enjoy music without all that booming i used to get from my Sony trying to hard to be a 15" sub! I LOVE THIS THING! I'm thinking of buying another one in the future and keeping it in the box, so I don't have to be without it ever again. I just don't know "WHERE" I would store it because this thing is massive, even without the box.
If you want a quality 15" sub woofer GO FOR IT! If you simply have to have the pick of the litter, well... It's your money! I don't have any instruments to measure all this stuff, but the guy from Cadence made a lot of sense. He said: the sound testing was done outside, but in the real-world, this sub will be in your living room. That's all I have, accept this: If you already own this sub, or you buy it in the future. I think we owe it to Cadence to review it so others might purchase it as well. We should help preserve this company that wants to bring quality AND affordability to our living rooms....
Worth every penny.

I spent over 6months looking for a sub. I went on all the major forums and did too much research. I called up Cadence, they spent over 1hr on the phone with me talking about subs in general. Never did they try to push the sale, and even offered other similar subs to check out. Never have I ever dealt with such an Honest Company. I am more than happy with my purchase, Movies and Music sound amazing. My sons kids now fight over coming on the weekends, its a great feeling. Thanks Cadence for taking the time to help me out.

I dont know too much about Home Theater, but i do know that this sub is awesome. My friend told me all about the 12 being great, so i pulled the plug and I am super happy. I just wish it came with a REMOTE so i can turn it down at my couch! Other than than this thing is more than I will ever need. Save yourself the money and time, just get this, you will not be mad. TRUST ME!

Great Party sub! I think this subwoofer offers more than most people would care to ask for. It gets very low and extremely loud, without any distortion. I have abused this thing for hours on end with all types of heavy bass music. From Dub step to Old school Rap, nothing was too difficult for this sub. I have had it for about 4months now and I have yet to have any type of issue. Auto on/off feature is great. Only using it for music right now and it ROCKS. Recommend to everyone, you won’t regret getting this!

Finally something I could afford that I AM VERY HAPPY WITH. Read a lot of good things from AVS about this sub. I was looking at everything from Epik to Elemental designs. When it came down to money vs. performance, The CSX15 was an easy winner. It sounds as good as it looks. It’s built very well and the lows attack you with authority. Its super easy to setup and use. Best part is, if I want to upgrade later on, I can hook up another sub to this one with the daisy-chain option. Highly recommend this sub to anyone who appreciates accurate, loud bass. Also looks KILLER! Thank you CADENCE.
Bigger sound with out the big price...

This is my first real 15inch monster. This sub is dedicated primarily to my home theater. I only bought it because my brother-in-law has the smaller, 12inch version and I really loved listening to it. However the room I have this sub in, is twice the size of his room. The CSX15 played if not better, just as well as the 12. I was surprised of how easily it blended with my other speakers. It plays quick, and accurate. Not boomy or sloppy. The output is just phenomenal. Hold on to your seats with this one. Being a bit older, it was not easy moving this thing around. Its built like a tank. However, this subwoofer is no slouch at all and will blow you away.
